Caravan Site Terms and Conditions Policy
As the lead guest you are responsible for ALL the people in your party staying at Killerby Old Hall. You are accepting that you are aware and agree to this information.
DEPOSIT
All bookings require a £30.00 non-refundable deposit at the time of booking or payment in full if the cost of the holiday is less than £30.00 or the holiday is due to start in less than 7 days.
BALANCE
Touring and camping outstanding balances are payable 7 days prior to your booking start date. You will receive a balance payment reminder 2 days prior to your balance due date. Your balance can be paid online by following the link in your reminder email.
ELECTRICITY
Please note: For 2024, the 16amp electricity supply to pitches is by pre-payment meter and is no longer included in the pitch price.
PAYMENT METHODS
We accept cash and most major debit and credit cards (not American Express).
CANCELLATION OF THE HOLIDAY BY YOU
You may cancel your holiday at any time. Cancellations are effective from the date received by us. Deposits paid are non-refundable. If you cancel your holiday 14 days prior to your arrival date you may change the date of your stay within the same holiday year subject to availability. Cancellations received with less than 2 weeks’ notice are not entitled to any changes of date unless we manage to re book the pitch for the full amount of your booking. No refunds will be given.
Cancellations due to Covid-19 (or variant of): Bookings that cannot legally go ahead will be held on our system for the fees paid to enable the Guest to rearrange their booking. You will be asked to transfer your booking to a later date within 12 months, free of any administration charges, subject to availability. You may need to pay the difference should you choose a more expensive stay. Cancellations due to government guidelines including Tiers will be checked on the home address provided by the Lead Guest at the time of booking. Cancellations due to positive covid tests must check their travel insurance. No transfer of booking will be offered unless we manage to re book the pitch for the full amount of your booking. No refunds will be given.
We advise comprehensive travel insurance to be taken out at the time of booking, which should include cancellation cover (including cancellation due to Covid-19 or variant of), full cover for the tenant’s personal belongings and public liability as the owner’s insurance does not cover these items.
We (the owner) are not liable to you (the tenant) for:
- Any faults or interruption to the supply of public services
- Any loss, damage or inconvenience caused to or suffered as a result of weather conditions, riots, wars, strikes or other matters beyond their control.
- Cancellation as a result of public health measures. In this instance you will be asked to transfer your booking to a later date within 12 months, free of any administration charges, subject to availability. No refund will be issued. You may need to pay the difference should you choose a more expensive stay.
- The tenants and all visitors do so entirely at their own risk. No responsibility will be accepted for injury, loss or damage to property including personal belongings, vehicles and their contents.
CANCELLATION OF THE HOLIDAY BY US
If we have to cancel your booking for any unforeseen circumstance before your arrival you will receive a full refund of any monies paid or offer you alternative dates.
ARRIVALS & DEPARTURES
Arrival time is after 1pm Monday – Saturday and is from 2pm on Sundays. Departure time is before 11.00 am. If you choose to leave the park before your departure date for whatever reason (inc. weather) no refunds will be given for the remaining days of your booking.
PITCH REQUESTS
We will make every effort to accommodate customer requests wherever possible but cannot guarantee a certain pitch.
VEHICLES
Only 1 car is permitted per pitch. Any second vehicles are to be booked in at reception and parked in the car park (chargeable). Commercial vehicles & large vans will not be accepted on site unless prior arrangements have been made. There is no car charging points on site.
CHILDREN
Children remain the responsibility of their parents or guardians at all times. It is particularly important that you always know where your children are, and that you provide adequate supervision for them at all times. Please note there is a small lake on site, this area is private & is not open to guests.
DOGS
Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a lead at all times and you must clean up after them. Please do not leave your dogs unattended on site at any time.
SMOKING
Smoking is allowed in open-air areas. Please be respectful of those around you & dispose responsibly.
RECYCLING & REFUSE
Recycle bins for glass, plastic & paper only.
- PLEASE DO NOT CONTAMINATE THE BINS WITH GENERAL HOUSEHOLD WASTE AS THE WASTE COMPANY WILL REFUSE TO EMPTY THEM.
- PLEASE DO NOT PUT HOT BBQ ASHES IN THE BINS.
- PLEASE DISPOSE OF PERSONAL ITEMS YOURSELF. WE CAN NOT CATER FOR WASTE OTHER THEN GENERAL FOOD WASTE. PLEASE TAKE YOUR BROKEN/OLD AWNINGS, STEPS, BOXES, CHAIRS ETC HOME WITH YOU OR TO THE LOCAL TIP, 5 MINUTES DOWN THE ROAD.
SHOWERS/TOILETS
Use of our showers & toilets are included, there is a hairdryer in the ladies block. Please respect these facilities and leave them how you would expect to find them. Our facilities are cleaned regularly throughout the day. If you do find a problem please report this to a member of staff.
LAUNDRY & POT WASH
Washing machine, dryers & ironing facilities are all available for our touring site. Washers & dryers are coin operated, these take £1 coins. Please tidy the ironing & ironing board away after use.
NOISE POLICY
We operate a no noise policy after 10pm and before 8am. Please ensure all members of the booking are aware of this.
BBQ’S & FIRE PITS
We do not allow open fires of any kind, this includes fire pits, chimineas and using your BBQ as a fire after cooking. You are welcome to BBQ (charcoal only) but please do not set the BBQ on the grass, use a stand or bricks. Sticks or wood must not be used as the sparks are a potential fire risk.
Use BBQ’s away from caravans & awnings. Never use inside or in porch/awning areas. The Park owners are absolved of all liability for accidents, loss or damage to guest’s personal property. We reserve the right to ask guests not observing the terms and park rules to leave the park without refunds and with immediate effect
SWIMMING POOL
Our Indoor heated swimming pool is available to caravan site guests with an additional charge per 24hr use. (Subject to change due to government guidance & Killerby Old Hall’s insurance policy.)
RULES AND REGULATIONS
The person completing the booking is responsible for the conduct of their party, It is your responsibility to read the rules & regulations and abide by the rules therein. Not reading the rules is not an excuse for infringement. It is your responsibility to ensure that all members of your party accept the terms of the contract set out in these terms and conditions of booking. Failure to disclose all relevant information or comply with these terms may lead to termination of the contract and loss of the booking without refund. Killerby Old Hall reserves the right to ban individuals from future use of the park.
LIABILITY
Anyone defacing or causing damage to any buildings, equipment or property of the park faces immediate eviction and prosecution. The pitch hirer will be responsible for and charged for any damage/loss caused by themselves or their visitors to the pitch or to any park facility or other resident’s property. Your personal belongings, vehicles, vans and their accessories and contents are left at your own risk. Killerby Old Hall or its staff will not be liable for the loss, theft or damage of any property nor for any injury, accident or mishap to any person in the park. Customers must ensure that their property is secured and fully insured for any unforeseen eventuality.
DATA PROTECTION
The information taken at the time of booking is required to be collected for the purposes of processing your reservation with us. We may process your data to keep you informed of our activities and to keep you updated with news, offers and other information that may be of interest to you. If you do not want us to use your information for the marketing purposes described in this paragraph, please let us know. We may also disclose your data to CampStead Ltd who may contact you, inviting you to complete a questionnaire and review regarding your stay at our park.
